list of folks earning an MS CertGreg Pugh - gpugh at nc.rr.com - blog - I'm starting with 70-536 and going for Enterprise MCPD. Goal is ~2 mo per exam.
Diana Smith-might possibly consider this. I would start with 70-536 + 70-528 probably as well.
Maria Hobbs is interested in the web app track and would like to participate in a study group to prep for Web Apps (70-536 + 70-528)
Jawahar Rajan jawaharrajan at gmail - Interested in 70-540 which is the mobile development track but alos includes a lot of the basic stuff from 70-536 and 70-528
Vladimir Khvostov (FirstName.LastName at gmail.com) - I passed 70-536, 70-528, and 70-529. Getting ready to take 70-526 and 70-549. Please note that MS is running free second shot promotion right now.
Mike Browning - (FirstName_LastName at Hotmail) Right now I'm gearing up for 70-229 (SQL 2000) while it is still available. I'll also probably do 70-228 before we make the transition to SQL 2005 at work. Passed the SQL 7.0 exams many years back which helped me get the MCDBA. I have some interest in the Web Apps and Windows Apps tracks (bought books but haven't gotten to them yet), but am also looking at the new SQL 2005 track (MCITP: Database Developer). There's now both a developer and an administrator track. I'd say a lot of us .NET developers are using SQL Server so this would probably also be in scope for TRINUG.
Doug Stiers - (first_last at hotmail) There are three of us at Allscripts who have been web developers for the past several years. We're starting the MCTS right now. We've just begun studying for 70-536. I passed 70-229 (sql 2k design and implementation) a few years ago and also one of the first VB.Net exams (cant remember the number). I think we're going to be meeting at the library at Cameron Village or at NCSU to study a couple of times a week. I'd be interested in the SQL 2k5 exam too.
Rafe Kemmis (rafe at surfingdogsoft dot com) - blog - looking to hit up 70-536 exam fairly soon--just have to set a date.
Diane Wilson (diane at firelily dot com) - I have MCSD .NET (for .NET 1.1) but instead of doing upgrade exams, I'll probably just start from scratch for VS 2008 and .NET 3.5 certs. 70-536 is still the first step, but all other exams are new, and there are new MCTS tracks for ADO.NET, WPF, and WCF. I'll probably go for multiple MCTS certs in ADO.NET, web, and WCF (4 exams total). Maybe MCPD web (1 more exam).
Elliot Rodriguez (first last at gmail dot com) - vb6 MCSD and .NET 1.1 certs but need to upgrade, have self-study materials already for 2.0 but have not taken test yet. Hope to wrap up by end of summer. |
